Floral Designer
The sucessful candidate designs dried and artificial floral arrangements for events, holidays, weddings, or custom residential and commercial projects. Confers with client regarding price and type of arrangement desired. Plans arrangement according to client’s requirements and costs, utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials, or selects appropriate design pattern. Selects the flowers and foliage necessary for arrangement. Trims material and arranges bouquets, sprays, wreaths, and other items, using wire pins, floral tape, foam, trimmers, cutters, shapers, and other materials and tools. May decorate buildings, halls, churches and other facilities where events are planned. May pack and wrap completed arrangements. May estimate cost and price of arrangements. May instruct and direct other workers. May arrange according to standard designs or under instruction of another Designer.
