“Florals” are just what their name implies – artfully “arranged” flowers. They are the most design-intensive of all botanical product categories because they must coordinate with the colorways and decor of the room---Traditional or Contemporary, Tropical or Country Casual, Urban or Lodge. Florals are often the most striking, dominant accent in a room, the one that most readily captures and conveys the room’s design style, often tying together and “elevating” the tone of other furnishings.
Even though more attention must be given to coordinating color and style, florals may be placed where other botanicals just won’t do: a spectacular, imposing floral in a lobby, foyer or entranceway or the indispensable dining table floral centerpiece.
Blooming Plants, by contrast, are designed to look exactly like natural flowering plants, bushes or nature gardens, rather than obviously-arranged florals. Because they’re entirely natural in color and construction, they don’t clash with any décor or color scheme.
